New South Wales
New South Wales, home to some of Australia’s most iconic landmarks, is where St John of God Health Care operates three hospitals – located in both the inner-city and the surrounds of Sydney. We also offer community mental health services and facilities across the city.
St John of God Burwood Hospital is an inner-city mental health hospital which provides a comprehensive range of outpatient and inpatient services. The hospital has a strong reputation for perinatal mental health, having established the first mother and baby unit in Sydney.

Victoria
Victoria is where one of Australia’s most vibrant cities, Melbourne, is located, along with regional towns packed with sights and history. St John of God Health Care has three hospitals in Melbourne and four hospitals located in regional and coastal Victoria. We also run at home nursing services, community mental health services, and disability and accommodation services.
St John of God Ballarat Hospital is one of Victoria’s largest regional private hospitals and offers an extensive range of acute services for the community. While the hospital has existed since the early 1900s, the facility has been expanded to ensure modern services, and equipment are available to meet the needs of the community.

St John of God Bendigo Hospital is a contemporary private hospital providing a comprehensive range of acute health care services for the regional community. The hospital underwent a significant redevelopment in 2015 that added a new three-storey wing featuring new operating theatres, large recovery area, new sterilising department, and refurbishment of all rooms and public areas.

St John of God Berwick Hospital is a new state-of-the-art facility providing comprehensive services and care for Melbourne’s rapidly growing south eastern communities. The hospital is well-equipped with surgical robots and cutting edge technologies. The new hospital, which opened in 2018, increased the services available to the region including the first critical/ intensive care unit.
St John of God Langmore Centre opened in 2022 as a dedicated mental health hospital to support the needs of Melbourne’s south eastern communities. The facility, located in Berwick, has recently been redeveloped and expanded to provide mental health care and features a purpose-built perinatal mental health unit to provide specialist inpatient care for families.

St John of God Accord specialises in supporting people with intellectual disability and provides services across Melbourne, Victoria. We are a registered provider for services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Western Australia
Western Australia is the biggest state in Australia in terms of size, and the majority of people live in Perth and along the South West coast. St John of God Health Care has five hospitals in Perth and two hospitals located in coastal regions. We also run at home nursing services and community mental health services.
St John of God Bunbury Hospital is a modern facility serving the regional communities of WA’s South West coastal towns, including the city of Bunbury, and its major centres comprising of Collie, Busselton and Margaret River. It is co-located on the South West Health Campus with the public hospital.

St John of God Subiaco Hospital is the oldest and biggest hospital in our group, having been established in 1898. It is one of Australia’s most respected providers of health care services and an internationally renowned leader in clinical trials and research. The hospital is also a leader in innovation and adoption of new technologies, including the implementation of robotic surgical devices and virtual reality imaging technology. The biggest redevelopment ever planned for the hospital is currently underway which will add new facilities, technology and equipment, including a new mother and baby unit, dedicated heart centre, and telehealth hub.

St John of God Healthcare at Home provides more than 110,000 home care visits each year through nursing, midwifery and lactation support, and allied health services in the home. Our caregivers visit after an illness, surgery or accident, to help patients manage ongoing conditions in their own home. We are also expanding our virtual care services in this area.
Many of our caregivers who work with St John of God Healthcare at Home also hold positions within our hospitals. This provides a balance of working in the acute setting as well as visiting care.

St John of God Accord
St John of God Accord operates across all regions in Melbourne, Victoria, supporting people with intellectual disability across every stage of life as a registered provider for under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The service, operating since 1953, is currently building 10 new technology enabled homes featuring a range of assistive technologies and innovative building design to enhance our clients’ quality of life.
Our caregivers have a vast range of expertise and experience including across all allied health disciplines, support coordinators, disability support workers, employment support workers, and corporate support.
