The research in this program aims to support improvements in the quality of health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders with close engagement with indigenous practitioners.

With an aging population, the clinical research activities provide commitment to facilitate high quality evidence based practice to improve the health, treatment and recovery of older Australians. 

This program supports research investigations across a variety of allied health specialties. The projects aim to improve clinical outcomes and enhance service delivery, while at the same time build research capacity among allied health professionals.

Allied health research is pivotal to provide high quality care and enable key collaborative research across departments and with external partnerships. It provides opportunities to investigate new approaches to strive for excellence in our service delivery and translate to clinical practice.

The St John of God Subiaco Hospital Anaesthesia and Pain Research Group is the leading site for delivering high quality multicentre clinical trials in anaesthesia, pain and perioperative medicine.
