Getting here and parking at Murdoch
Parking
Parking on the Murdoch Hospital Campus is limited, particularly during the peak periods between 9.00am and 3.00pm.
For your convenience, we advise where possible please consider:
- being dropped off and picked up for your appointment using public transport
- allowing additional time to find parking before your appointment.
Motorcyclists are requested to park in the motorcycle bays provided.
Visitor parking is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Please purchase a ticket as you enter the car park and take it with you when you leave your car.
Payment machines are located near the entrances to the hospital, hospice and the medical centre and you can pay your ticket before you return to your car.
Drop-off and pick-up
Main hospital
Entry via Gate 1
There is a set-down and pick-up area at the hospital entrance. Parking is not permitted in this area.
Wheelchairs are available from main hospital reception if required.
Murdoch Medical Clinic
Entry via Gate 1
There is a set-down and pick-up area at the hospital entrance. Parking is not permitted in this area.
Wheelchairs are available from Medical Clinic Reception if required.
Wexford Medical Centre
Entry via Gate 2
There is a set-down and pick-up area at the Wexford car park level entrance.
Access to the car park is free for 30 minutes for drop-off and pick-up only.
St John of God Murdoch Community Hospice
Entry via Gate 3
St John of God Murdoch Community Hospice is accessible from Entrance 3 off Fiona Wood Road only. There is no access via the main entrance at Gate 1.
Disability parking
Parking bays for people with ACROD stickers are available across the campus.
These bays are $4.00 per hour, and if not within the boom gates, can be paid at the pay and display parking machines which are located next to these bays.
The machines accept both cash and credit.
Parking fees
Visitor parking is $4.00 per hour capped at $22.00 per day.
Three-day visitor parking ticket - $50.00
Seven-day visitor parking ticket - $80.00
One day parking ticket - $22.00
To obtain a one, three or seven-day parking ticket, please:
- Press button for ticket at the boom gate
- Remove ticket and enter car park
- Go to a payment machine
- Press "Day Pass" or "Other"
- Insert ticket
- Screen will now display seven day pass
- Press "Day Pass" or "Other" to select three or seven day pass
- Pay the fee via cash or credit card.
- A ticket will be issued
- This ticket is valid for one, three or seven days. You may enter and exit as many times as you like, using this ticket
- If you have any issues, please contact security via the intercom
- Take the ticket and use it to go in and out through the boom gates
Please be aware:
- This parking ticket is transferable
- Unused portions will not be refunded
- Keep away from mobile phones or magnets as they render the ticket invalid
- If you do not go to pay station within 30 minutes, an extra charge will apply
Contactless credit card facilities (PayWave) is available at the parking machines.
You will need a paid ticket to leave the boom gates.

Public transport
The Murdoch train and busport are located within easy walking distance of the hospital.
The train station services the Mandurah line.
Buses travel along Barry Marshall Parade from Murdoch train station every five to ten minutes and stop nearby at the Wexford Medical Centre. Bus services operate between 6.00am and 11.30pm.
