Dilwyn Griffiths - Acting Chief Executive Officer

Dilwyn was appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer of St John of God Burwood and Richmond Hospitals in February 2025. He has more than 20 years' of experience in accounting and senior finance positions. Dilwyn joined St John of God Health Care in 2015 and has previously worked at St John of God Subiaco and Murdoch Hospitals in a range of roles including Deputy Director of Finance, Finance Director and Director of Corporate Services.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Dilwyn completed his studies in the UK and holds FCA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Having started his career in auditing, Dilwyn has gone on to work in a diverse range of industries from construction to dot com, manufacturing to mining, all providing the experience brought to his current role with St John of God Health Care.

Cindy Foot - Director of Clinical Services

Cindy has been the Director of Nursing since 2014, following roles as the hospital’s Deputy Director of Nursing and as a nurse unit manager. Cindy has strong involvement in the improvement of our services including revision of nursing care practice and the introduction of the transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) service.

Cindy completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Nursing) in 1993 and has worked in nursing for over 20 years in Australia and the United Kingdom in mental health and acute care hospitals. 

John Sweeting - Director of Mission Integration

Appointed January 2024

John joined the NSW Mental Health Services team as DMI across Burwood and Richmond Hospitals. He has held a number of senior management roles with the Catholic Church for the past 22 years including roles in Dioceses, Catholic Schools, Universities, Catholic Welfare and with World Youth Day Sydney 2008.

John holds a Bachelor of Theology and has experience in church administration, together with pastoral and finance roles.

David Burns - Director of Finance and Corporate Services

David has a wealth of experience having worked in a variety of finance roles for the past 20 years in Australia and England. His experience includes working at banks, insurance companies and various superannuation and investment management companies.

He is now responsible for all aspects of the operational finances and corporate services of the hospital as the Director of Finance and Corporate Services for the past six years. He holds the same role at St John of God Richmond Hospital.
