Working with us

Volunteering at St John of God Geraldton Hospital

St John of God Geraldton Hospital is fortunate to have the support of a dedicated volunteer group who make a significant contribution to providing holistic patient care.

The volunteer program promotes community involvement and provides a vital link between us and our community. They assist with many duties throughout the hospital and contribute greatly to the atmosphere.

Volunteer roles

Our dedicated volunteers assist in a variety of roles including:

  • mobile trolley shop
  • fundraising
  • flower arrangement and care
  • patient massage (hospice)

Our palliative care unit provides training for volunteers who wish to assist and care for hospice patients.

Why volunteer?

We value the skills and experience each volunteer brings to our hospital.

Being a part of the volunteer team provides you with the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of people who may be at hospital for illness, surgery or to visit a loved one.

You also meet and work with other fantastic caregivers and we regularly gather as a volunteer team for various development and social activities.
