- Working with us
Volunteering at our hospital enables you to make a difference to the lives of our patients and community, as well as your own.
St John of God Bendigo Hospital provides our volunteers with opportunities for training, learning, skill development and socialising.
We want to make your volunteering experience as rewarding as possible and will aim to match your personal skills and interests to the most suitable roles within our hospital.
This fun and exciting role will see you supporting our existing Caregiver Chorus, which is made up of staff, volunteers and community members.
Experience coordinating a choir or chorus is preferred, so that you can help all the participants to feel valued and included in the group.
Delegating to other members of the Chorus will be important, as many of them will be able to help contribute to the overall success of the Chorus.
Likewise by working with our Pastoral Care and clinical teams, you will be able to expand the number of events the Chorus participates in.
Rehearsals are currently on Friday at noon, however this is negotiable with the successful applicant.
For more information please contact Lynda Wyles or James Breene at St John of God Bendigo on (03) 5434 3434.
There are around 180 volunteers in our hospital, working in over 30 different clinical and non-clinical areas.
Our volunteers hold roles in areas including:
We interview all of our volunteers and provide them with training in the requirements of their role. All of our volunteers display high standards of professionalism and courtesy in representing our hospital and help us to provide exceptional care to our patients and visitors.
