The St John of God Murdoch Hospital Surgicentre is a specialist stand alone day hospital built to encompass the growing demand for day surgery as a convenient and popular alternative to a stay in a private hospital. 
The Surgicentre is licensed by the Western Australian Department of Health as a 23 hour Day Hospital and owned and operated by St John of God Murdoch Hospital.

The Surgicentre is accredited by DNV GL to ISO 9001-2015 and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards with documented exclusions. 
 
The Surgicentre is a surgical unit with no private rooms and visitors are kept to a minimum. The day hospital is located south of the Perth CBD and is on the campus of St John of God Murdoch Hospital, which is easily accessible by car and public transport. 

The St John of God Murdoch campus is a smoke free zone which encompasses Murdoch Surgicentre. No staff, patients or visitors are permitted to smoke on site. We request that everyone abides by this policy.
