However, less than one third of women who are suffering from this condition seek medical advice.

Dr Jade Acton - Specialist Gynaecologist

Dr Jade Acton is a specialist gynaecologist at St John of God Subiaco Hospital.

She graduated medicine from James Cook University in 2006, before completing six years of specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Perth. In 2016, Dr Acton was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Dr Acton has completed a two-year Australasian Gynaecologic and Endoscopy and Surgery Society Accredited Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery. Her particular clinical interest is in endometriosis and complex laparoscopic surgery.

She is interested in surgical teaching and has completed a Masters in Surgical Education. Dr Acton is involved in clinical research and has multiple publications in the field of gynaecology.
