Dr Rajiv Shinde is an experienced consultant medical oncologist who treats a broad range of cancers, with a particular focus on gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers. He also has specialist training in clinical trials, which allow patients to access new and upcoming treatments, based on a personalised medicine approach. He is dedicated to providing cutting-edge, evidence-based cancer care while ensuring that patients receive personalised and compassionate treatment.

A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), Dr Shinde also holds a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Sydney. He completed his oncology training in Perth and Sydney, gaining extensive experience in highly specialised cancer treatments. This led to a two-year tenure as a clinical trial research fellow at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, one of the world’s leading oncology research institutions.

Dr Shinde also practices at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, where he co-leads the Clinical Trials Portfolio and serves as a Principal Investigator on numerous clinical trials. He is also a Principal Investigator at Linear Clinical Research, leading first-in-human studies and pioneering innovative cancer treatments. His research has been published in prestigious journals such as Lancet Oncology and Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, and he has presented at major international conferences, including ASCO, ESMO and AACR.

Beyond his clinical and research roles, Dr Shinde is committed to medical education and mentorship, regularly teaching and guiding junior doctors and medical students.

Outside of work, he enjoys cricket and swimming. As a strong advocate for patient-centred care, he is dedicated to empowering patients with knowledge and support, helping them navigate their cancer journey with confidence and dignity.
