Dr Elsabagh is a Perth based general and colorectal surgeon, who works at St John of God Midland Public and Private, Murdoch and Subiaco Hospitals.

Abdallah completed  his medical degree at the University of Cairo in Egypt as well as basic surgical training and underwent MRCS program in the Royal College of Surgeons in England, before migrating to Australia in 2009. He joined the Australian workforce and finished formal general surgical training in Western Australia in 2019.

After being award his general surgery fellowship, he underwent an  additional two years of colorectal fellowship training at Flinders Medical centre, Adelaide and Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, where robotic surgery for colorectal conditions was part of his training.

Abdallah has a strong academic background, withholding a Masters in Surgical Science and a Masters in General Surgery from the University of Edinburgh in 2017. Abdallah has also published several international publications.

He is a provisional member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ), a member of General Surgeons Australia and is accredited with the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) to perform colonoscopy and gastroscopy. 

Abdallah performs gastroscopy, colonoscopy, laparoscopic as well as open surgery for hernias, gall bladder and also infuser port surgery for oncology patients. He will be happy to offer robotic surgery once available in Western Australia in the nearest future.
