Osteoarthritis is a chronic and progressive condition that mostly affects the hands, spine, hips, knees and ankles.

It is the most common form of arthritis in Australia. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, one in 11 people have osteoarthritis, making it the leading reason behind knee and hip replacement surgeries.

In our latest health and wellness podcast episode, St John of God Subiaco Hospital Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Sam Young discusses osteoarthritis, symptom management and when to get joint replacement surgery.
