Dr Perret is from Perth and completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia, graduating with honours in 2007. After finishing the Australian Orthopaedic Association training program in 2017, Dr Perret was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Dr Perret has undertaken further sub-specialty training in hand and upper limb surgery. He gained experience treating professional athletes including AFL and cricket players during an upper limb sports fellowship with A/Prof Greg Hoy and A/Prof Eugene Ek at Melbourne Orthopaedic Group, Victoria. He was then accepted as the Hand and Upper Limb Fellow at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where he worked with Dr Chris Blenkin learning advanced techniques in the treatment of hand and upper limb conditions, including microsurgery, replantation, wrist and elbow arthroscopy, joint reconstruction and arthroplasty.
Dr Perret is involved in the training of Orthopaedic registrars through the Australian Orthopaedic Association, and has publications in peer-reviewed international journals. He holds public appointments at Royal Perth Hospital and the Hand Surgery Service at Fremantle Hospital, and is available to operate on insured patients at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital.
Dr Perret is available to treat elective and traumatic conditions of the hand, wrist, shoulder and elbow.
