Dr Pekin is a consultant physician specialising in gastroenterology.

Her physician training was primarily at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.

Further training in gastroenterology was undertaken at St George Hospital Sydney and The Canberra Hospital.

Her endoscopy training has been credentialed by the Conjoint Committee and she has been recently recertified in colonoscopy with the GESA program.

Her main interests are the long term management of inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, swallowing disorders. autoimmune liver diseases and endoscopy.

She is and enthusiastic reporter to the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.
