Where we are
Dr Mulroy initially undertook a Bachelor of Science, double major Anatomy and Human Biology and Psychology with First Class Honours, before completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with Honours at The University of Western Australia. She attained the Paediatric Prize in her final year. Dr Mulroy was also awarded the John Flynn scholarship, which allowed her to spend several weeks each year in a rural setting where she worked closely with several obstetricians. After seeing the joy and satisfaction experienced by both the doctors and families she was inspired to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynaecology.
Most of her postgraduate training was undertaken at King Edward Memorial Hospital including a placement in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit to attain further skills in the management of high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. She spent her final two years at St John of God Bunbury Hospital, Bunbury Hospital and South West Gynaecology under the mentorship of Dr Tom Cottee.
She then undertook additional training in obstetrics and gynaecological ultrasound and was awarded the 2013 Gold Medal as the highest performing candidate in Australia for the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound over three examinations.
Dr Mulroy is experienced in the fields of polycystic ovarian syndrome, abnormal bleeding and general gynaecological problems. She is skilled at the assessment and pre-emptive management of women who are planning pregnancy, and exceptionally qualified to look after women and their families during their pregnancy with her advanced ultrasound skills.
