Dr Wael Chiri is a specialist shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand surgeon who is determined to achieve the best outcome for his patients. He completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2009 and undertook his orthopaedic surgical training in Perth from 2016 to 2020. Dr Chiri then completed a Hand and Upper Limb Postgraduate Fellowship with one of the international leaders in upper limb surgery, Professor Gregory Bain in Adelaide, South Australia.
Dr Chiri has completed several research projects that have been published in international journals in orthopaedics. He has also presented his work at a number of national conferences. He is dedicated to continuing research with the aim of using those results to improve patient care and outcomes.
Dr Chiri holds a public appointment at Fremantle Hospital as a Hand Specialist at the Fremantle Hand Unit where he is involved in training future orthopaedic surgeons. He also lectures medical students at Curtin University.
Dr Chiri is available to treat elective and traumatic conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.
Dr Chiri operates privately at St John of God Mt Lawley and Murdoch Hospitals and charges a gap for most procedures and health funds. He also welcomes workers compensation, MVA, DVA and Defence Force patients.
Dr Chiri is available to treat elective and traumatic conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand including:
