Dr Derek Eng is a Palliative Medicine Physician in Perth, Western Australia. He is presently the Head of Palliative Care Services at St John of God Subiaco Hospital and Palliative Medicine Physician at Royal Perth Hospital.

Dr. Eng is a Senior Lecturer in Palliative Medicine at the University of Western Australia and Notre Dame University, Fremantle. He is Lead Clinician at Department of Health WA for communication skills teaching and has been training educators/facilitators and health professionals in clinical communication in healthcare.

Dr Eng has been heavily involved in research and implementation of the Goals of Patient Care project throughout WA Health. Dr Eng has clinical interests in palliative medicine and complex cancer pain management.
