Our research units
Our research focuses on translational projects which have the greatest potential to improve patient health care. Our research units cover a broad range of medical and surgical specialties including cancer, orthopaedics, colorectal surgery, mental health and intensive care medicine.

Emergency medicine research
Our research team is committed to improving patient outcomes and practices within our Emergency Department. Research collaborations are fundamental to our work and we have strong links with St John Ambulance, the Pre-Hospital Care Research Unit at Curtin University and The University of Notre Dame Australia.

Emergency medicine research at Midland
Research in the specialty of emergency medicine continues to expand and is helping to improve patient treatments and clinical outcomes. Valuable collaborations have been established with Western Australian universities and hospitals and we are increasingly developing key interstate and international collaborations.
