Ms Hammond is currently the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Notre Dame, a national Catholic University.
She has held this position since 2008 and has significantly contributed to the University since 1998, when she joined as one of five foundation academic staff members in the School of Law.
Prior to this role, she was a legal practitioner in private practice in WA and worked as an academic lawyer at other universities.
Ms Eva Skira, Chair of Trustees, welcomed Ms Hammond’s appointment.

“She has a passion for developing culture and community that is conducive to the development of the whole person within a Catholic framework and will be a valuable addition to the Trustees.”
The roles and responsibilities of St John of God Health Care Trustees are established under Canon Law and include governance, guidance and strategic direction in ensuring St John of God Health Care remains faithful to its Ministry as a part of the Catholic Church.
