Dr Moore was among the first doctors in Australia to graduate in the sport medicine field, in 1982. 

He was a trailblazer in the area of sports medicine, being the first doctor in Western Australia to set up an integrated multidisciplinary sport medicine practice. Sportsmed opened at Murdoch in 1990 and expanded to St John of God Subiaco in 1999.  

He  was the doctor at the South Fremantle Football club and the inaugural West Coast Eagles doctor. 

Dr Moore was a passionate and dedicated mentor, highly involved in the training of the next generation of sport medicine doctors.
