The donation also adds to St John of God Health Care's contributions to LifeBlood’s Health Services Blood Drive which encourages health care workers from different health care organisations across Australia to form teams and give blood.

Last year caregivers from St John of God Health Care made 631 donations across Australia, and this year the organisation is currently ranked ninth in Australia

“Giving blood is truly lifesaving and a very practical way to help people in need. And when you donate, you are made to feel so incredibly valued by the staff at Lifeblood,” Dani said.

Donating is perfectly safe even with all the recent restrictions that have been in place due to COVID-19, and with winter coming when donations tend to taper off, LifeBlood really needs to keep donations coming in.

As elective surgeries across our hospitals and communities increase, the need need for blood also rises.
