Most popular name for baby girls 2019
We have revealed the most popular names for baby girls born at our maternity hospitals across Australia in 2019.

This year, the most popular name is Olivia. Olivia jumped five spots up on the list from last year to take the top spot as most popular girl’s name in 2019.
Amelia also jumped five spots from sixth in 2018 to second in 2019.
Half of the names were new additions into the top ten this year, including Grace, Matilda, Ruby, Chloe and Ava.
