Two recent initiatives, the Clinical Command Centre and My Admissions portal, are together finalists in the AIM WA Pinnacle Awards Innovation Excellence category which recognises ingenuity in business leadership.

St John of God Health Care acting Group Director Digital and Technology Dr Alexius Julian said being shortlisted in these key awards highlighted the organisation’s forward-looking approach to patient experience.

“We are focused on responding to our patient’s needs and enhancing their experience which requires we be at the leading edge of technology,” he said.

“Our Clinical Command Centres, which create a central hub to coordinate and streamline theatre activity to provide a seamless experience for patients, doctors and caregivers, and our My Admission patient portal, which enables patients to complete their admission details online, are great examples of how we are using technology to address our patients’ needs.

“Being named a finalist in these awards highlights our transformational and innovative approach to investing in the future and play a leading role in the research and development that is necessary for a high-quality healthcare provider.”

  • The award winners will be announced on 21 March 2019.
