First responders thank you morning tea
27 Sep 2018
There is growing awareness that people working as first responders such as ambulance officers, police officers and firefighters are at a higher risk of acquiring a mental health injury such as posttraumatic stress disorder.
Often these emergency workers only see the negative, traumatic sides of situations so we would like to shine the spotlight on the way they help others and to hear stories about how people in the Hawkesbury region have been helped by an emergency services worker.
Local police, ambulance, fire brigade, SES & RFS organisations are invited to come along where we will share stories to reinforce the positive impact first responders have on people’s lives.
