Russell has been a full-time ophthalmology clinician and surgeon at Bunbury and Busselton Eye Specialists since 2011.
After completing his medical degree at the University of Western Australia (UWA) in 1997, Russell completed ophthalmology training in Perth and the UK at Cheltenham General Hospital in 2010. This enabled him to gain a solid foundation in general and paediatric ophthalmic surgery and ready himself for rural practice.
Russell was delighted to return to his home town of Bunbury in 2011 where he lives with his wife and two children.
In his spare time Russell is a keen mountain biker and kite surfer, alongside more quiet hobbies such as piano playing, beekeeping and meditation.
