Mark is a highly experienced pain medicine specialist with additional specialty qualifications in anaesthesia and general practice. He trained in WA and has also gained interstate and international experience.

Mark was awarded the Barbara Walker Prize for Excellence in Pain Medicine in 2007. He’s worked in many of Perth’s major hospitals and was Head of Department at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Department of Pain Management.

He founded a private pain practice, PainWest, in 2010 and has been providing care to Perth’s northern and eastern suburbs since then. He provides comprehensive assessment of chronic pain conditions, participates in multidisciplinary management and provides a wide range of interventional pain management techniques. These include joint injections, nerve blocks, epidural injections and a wide range of rhizotomy (neurotomy) procedures. These all take place under sedation at St John of God Midland Private Hospital, with no gap billing for privately insured patients.

Mark lives on a semi-rural property in the hills and is a keen cyclist.
