Amish Patel is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He moved to the Geelong region with his family in 2018, and works in both the public and private sectors.

Amish completed his Dentistry (Manchester 2001) and Medical (Barts 2010) degrees in the United Kingdom. He moved to Australia in 2011 and completed advanced specialist training in Victoria at the beginning of 2017.

He then undertook two years of fellowship training, including sub-speciality fellowships in Orthognathic Surgery at Royal Melbourne Hospital and TMJ surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital, followed by a year at the prestigious Oxford University Hospital (UK) specialising in Head and Neck oncology.

Amish enjoys all facets of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including facial trauma, deformity, implantology and wisdom teeth surgery, in addition to the sub specialities mentioned above. He incorporates modern technology into his practice, and uses computer assisted 3D planning to help patients achieve the best outcome in implant, orthognathic and TMJ surgery.

He holds public appointments at University Hospital Geelong, Western Hospitals and The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. He also has an interest in education and teaching, and supervises advanced surgical OMFS trainees. Additionally, he is a lecturer for medical and dental students in Victoria and NSW.

In his spare time, he loves playing cricket, golf and spending time with his family.
