Dr Tim Mitchell is a locally trained gastroenterologist and hepatologist. 

Following advanced training in Perth, Dr Mitchell completed clinical fellowships in hepatology at Fiona Stanley Hospital and King’s College Hospital in London with an emphasis on viral hepatitis, liver transplantation and advanced chronic liver disease. 

Dr Mitchell has public appointments at St John of God Midland Public Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital where he is a member of the liver cancer multidisciplinary team and is involved in clinical research. He also attends the liver transplant clinic and listing meeting at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

Dr Mitchell is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia and has accreditation in gastroscopy and colonoscopy from the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

He treats both public and private patients at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals.
