George completed his medical degree at Monash University with Honours in 2006. He was awarded the faculty prize for the medicine/surgery year of his degree.

He worked as a junior doctor in Victorian hospitals, before commencing surgical education and training in 2009. He completed two years of general surgery training at the Austin, Shepparton and Geelong hospitals before commencing urology training in NSW. He completed the first three years there before successfully sitting his fellowship exam in 2014.

On returning to Victoria he embarked on a fellowship year at the Western Hospital specialising in advanced laparoscopic urological procedures with a further 6 months as a consultant urologist. George completed a 12-month fellowship at the Lister Hospital in the UK, specialising in robotic urological surgery.

George is proficient in all aspects of general Urology, however has a particular interest in: minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery, uro-oncology, minimally invasive treatment of kidney stones as well as the latest management of benign prostatic enlargement.

In addition to his clinical work George has a keen interest in surgical education and medical research. He has presented at numerous local, national and international meetings and has several publications in peer-reviewed medical journals
