Dr Lorcan McGonagle is an orthopaedic surgeon who treats patients at St John of God Geraldton Hospital.

Dr McGonagle grew up in Ireland and moved to England to study medicine at the University of Liverpool, where he graduated with honours.  After university he did almost all of his surgical training in the Liverpool area, including the world-renowned Wrightington Hospital.

Dr McGonagle acquired further fellowship training: Lower Limb Arthroplasty and Sports Fellowship - The Joint Studio, Perth, Australia. Lower Extremity Arthroplasty Fellowship - Holland Orthopaedic and Arthritic Centre, Toronto, Canada. Fellowship in Adult Trauma - Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, Australia.

Dr McGonagle is based full time in Geraldton and accepts referrals for both upper and lower limb musculoskeletal problems.

Outside of work, Dr McGonagle enjoys spending time with his family and maintaining delusions of sporting grandeur.
