Background and Training:
Dr Murray Blythe was born and raised in Perth and studied medicine at the University of Western Australia. His internship and resident years were at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Alice Springs Hospital and Dunedin Hospital in New Zealand. His orthopaedic training was in Western Australia through the Australian Orthopaedic Association which he completed in 2011.

Fellowship Training:

• University of Western Ontario, London, Canada – Hip and knee arthroplasty and revision
• Universitätsspital, Basel, Switzerland – Foot and ankle surgery
• Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, Australia – Foot and ankle surgery

Approach to Patient Care:
Murray provides individualised care with a friendly and approachable manner, establishing a strong doctor-patient partnership. He ensures patients understand their treatment options, whether surgical or not, including the potential impact on their activities of daily living, quality of life and sporting activities. He has excellent clinical reasoning and surgical skills backed by extensive experience to achieve the most optimal results possible.

Dr Blythe holds professional memberships for Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Australian Orthopaedic Association, Australian Medical Association, Australian Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society and the West Australian Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.
