Christmas babies born on the 25th of December will become a part of our special 12,000+ babies who are born each year across St John of God Health Care hospitals. Each and every one of them will be cared for by amazing caregivers like Cate.

Cate Folvig is a Nurse and Midwife Clinical Specialist and has been a caregiver at St John of God Geelong Hospital for 10 years.

“St John of God Geelong Hospital is a friendly, not for profit private hospital that prides itself in delivering services to the highest standard," Cate said.

“As a caregiver, our focus is family-centred care. An example of how we do this is by supporting and allowing partners to stay overnight with their newborns. I love making a difference in assisting new parents to safely and confidently care for their newborn.

“It is very rewarding to be a part of a highly skilled team of professionals who often exceed expectations to individual needs."
