South West Campaign update
16 Aug 2017
St John of God Bunbury Hospital is able to continue providing the best care to people living in the South West region of WA, thanks to our generous donors.
To date, St John of God Foundation has received $3.5 million in pledges towards the South West Coronary Care and Cancer Service. These funds have allowed St John of God Bunbury Hospital to provide the following services in the 2016/17 financial year;
Public patients: 9,952
Private Patients: 16,429
Treatments provided in the chemotherapy unit: 4,150
Cardiac and angioplasty procedures performed: 1,027
Nights of accommodation provided by South West accommodation centre: 2,678
Patients and family members stayed in the South West accommodation centre: 210
St John of God Foundation Chief Executive Officer Nick Harvey said it is because of generous donors, that those living in the South West have access to 'care closer to home'.
“Local specialised cancer and cardiac services can significantly improve health outcomes for those who live outside of the Perth Metro area; and these services are now available thanks to our donors".
