Doctor of the Year - Urologist Dr Paul McRae

“Each year, the Senior Leadership Group nominate a doctor who they feel has made a significant contribution to the hospital,” St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital Chief Executive Officer Vanessa Unwin said.

“While there were many great nominations, the Hospital Management Committee were unanimous in recognising Dr Paul McRae as our Doctor of the Year or 2022.”

“Paul embodies the St John of God Health Care values and is constantly going above and beyond for his patients, colleagues and our hospital.”

“He provides incredible stewardship in his role as the Chairperson of our hospital’s Medical Advisory Committee and is renowned for his unwavering support of our HMC and his colleagues alike.

Dr McRae has worked at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital for more than 25 years and is recognised as a specialist in his field of urology. He specialises in prostate and bladder cancers, male and female incontinence, and renal and ureteric stones, offering endoscopic lasertripsy.
