We warmly welcome Dr George Eskander to the role of Director Medical Services at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital.

Chief Executive Officer, Ms Chris Hanna says George brings a wealth of expertise particularly in the areas of clinical informatics, clinical governance and education.
“We are excited to have George join St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital and look forward to his input as we continue to provide excellent health care to our patients and build relationships with our specialists and GPs,” Chris says.
“George held high level positions within the health system across the north of England, implementing some impressive improvements, including the introduction of a single electronic health record for all GPs, patients and hospitals involving a population of around 850,000 people.
“He holds local and national level positions on a number of boards, including the WA Medical Board, he is also a Medical Specialist Surveyor with the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards and works as a Regional GP Medical Educator for WA General Practice Education and Training.”
As well as looking after patients in General Practice, George is excited about his role as Director Medical Services.
“St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital has a strong reputation for excellence and a commitment to quality,” George says.
“I am looking forward to working with caregivers and medical practitioners to continue to cement this reputation in the community.”
George has been in Australia for two years with his wife and his four year old son. He is a keen marathon runner and is currently going for his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He is keen to spend more time in the water, having recently been introduced to the joys of stand-up paddle boarding.
