Much input from patients, caregivers and doctors has been taken into consideration in the design of the rooms to ensure they are functional, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.

The prototype was created to allow these stakeholders to stand within a physical space and assess how the space feels and looks. It allows our clinical caregivers an opportunity to make sure all the rooms are clinically functional and ready for patients.

The room looks impressive with a large window allowing for natural light and a built in bench seat with storage beneath. There is a lovely pomegranate patterned wallpaper above where the patient bed will sit, which adds a subtle point of interest. A deep shelf  is positioned above the wardrobe where personal belongings can be stored. The ensuite is clean, bright and comfortable.

The prototype is an exciting milestone for the redevelopment team, serving as a physical result of  much hard work and planning.
