How Many Cataract Procedures competition terms and conditions

This How Many Cataract Procedures competition is being held and promoted by St John of God Health Care Inc ARBN 051 960 911 ABN 21 930 207 958.

Competition Rules

Opening and closing dates

Entries into the competition will be accepted between 8.00 pm (AEST) on 14 December 2017 and 5.00pm on 20 December 2017 (Submission Period).

After the Submission Period has concluded the Entrant who guesses closest to the actual amount of Cataract procedures that Dr Farokh Irani has carried out in the past 5 years, according to the Facebook comment time log and liked the St John of God Bendigo Hospital Facebook Page will be deemed the winner. If more than one person guesses the correct number, the winner will be drawn at random.

Who may enter

The only people who many enter the competition are:

  • Australian residents currently living in the City of Greater Bendigo, Loddon Shire, Macedon Ranges Shire, Central Goldfields Shire, Campaspe Shire;
  • aged 18 years old or over; and
  • who are not employees of St John of God Health Care or Bendigo Eye Surgery or not related to Dr Irani.

How to enter

An entrant must like the St John of God Bendigo hospital Facebook page at www.facebook.com/sjogbendigo and provide the information requested between 8.00pm on 14 December 2017 and 5.00pm on 20 December 2017 to be entered into the competition.

The entrant must submit the number they have guessed in the comment section of the competition post and like the St John of God Bendigo Hospital Facebook Page. Entries can only be submitted via Facebook.

Only one entry per person will be accepted. Each entrant will be required to comment on the competition post to enter.

Conditions of entry

An entry to the competition will only be valid if the entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Instructions on how to enter and other details contained within promotional advertisements for the competition form part of the conditions of entry.

The competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered or associated with Facebook.

All entrants who provide information to enter this competition provide that information to St John of God Health Care through the St John of god Bendigo Hospital Facebook Page and not to Facebook itself.

St John of God Health Care reserves the right to verify the validity of entries received, and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Entries may be removed without notice if they do not reflect the Values of St John of God Health Care or are perceived as inappropriate in anyway.

Participants may only submit one guess, multiple guesses will not be recorded and only the first guess recorded will be accepted. 

Guesses submitted as comments should be stated as a number.

Selection of the winner and prize details

The winning entry will be the entry which guesses closest to the actual number of cataract procedures Dr Irani has done in the past 5 years. In the event that more than one entrant guesses the actual number, the winner will be drawn at random from all entrants guessing the actual number within the comments log of the competition post and that like the Facebook Page, while abiding by the rules of the competition.

All entries will be displayed on the St John of God Bendigo Facebook Page and the winning entrant will be published on the St John of God Bendigo website – www.sjog.org.au/bendigo

The winner will be notified on 20 December 2017 at 8.00pm, via their Facebook account and will be given two weeks to collect their prize. The winner will receive a $200 hamper from the Dulux Hamper Company.

The prize must be accepted as offered and is not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash.

If any aspect of the prize is not available for any reason, St John of God Health Care reserves the right to substitute the prize for any other item of equal or greater value.

If the prize remains unclaimed by 3 January 2018, the Prize will be considered forfeited and may be used by St John of God Health Care for an alternative purpose, entirely at the discretion of St John of God Health Care.

Privacy

Personal information collected by St John of God Health Care in conjunction with this competition will only be used to identify the winner of the competition and for St John of God Health Care’s future marketing and promotional activities.

All personal information collected by St John of God Health Care in conjunction with the competition will be handled and used in accordance with St John of God Health Care’s Privacy Policy, available at: https://www.sjog.org.au/patients-and-visitors/privacy

Limitation of liability

St John of God Health Care, its employees, agents or contractors will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of this competition or the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

In the event that any such liability cannot be excluded by law, the total aggregate liability of St John of God Health Care will not exceed the total cost of the prize (being $200).
