About National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week is the annual celebration of volunteers across the nation. It’s important to acknowledge the significant contributions volunteers make not only to our hospital but to organisations across the country.
This year's theme ‘Give a little. Change a lot’ represents the millions of volunteers throughout Australia who give up a little of their time to help impact their communities in a positive way.
St John of God Ballarat Hospital Volunteers
St John of God Ballarat Hospital Manager Volunteer Services Eunice Reynolds says the volunteers are so important to our hospital assisting patients and their visitors in many diverse and wonderful ways and we love everything they do for us.
"The focus of all volunteer services is to enhance the hospital experience of patients, their families and visitors," she says.
"Our volunteers also work tirelessly as part of the St John of God Ballarat Hospital Auxiliary.
"Our hardworking and dynamic Auxiliary makes a considerable annual donation to the hospital through funds raised from gift shop sales, book stalls, raffles and cake stalls.”
