Paul Dyer - Chief Executive Officer
Currently the CEO at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals, Paul has more than 20 years' experience in leadership roles in a variety of hospital settings, including CEO roles at St John of God Geraldton Hospital, St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital and St John of God Midland Private Hospital. Previously, he held senior nursing executive roles at St John of God Bendigo Hospital and St John of God Burwood Hospital and a number of board positions. A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Paul has a Bachelor of Nursing and has completed a Graduate Certificate in Management and Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Catholic Culture.
Royce Vermeulen - Chief Operating Officer
Royce has more than 20 years’ experience working in a variety of roles in the health sector, including senior health service and facility project roles. Formerly a physiotherapist, Royce has completed a Masters in Business Administration from The University of Western Australia. Previously Royce worked for Serco Asia Pacific (Fiona Stanley Hospital), Aurora Projects and the South Metropolitan Area Health Service.
Dr Helen Harris - Director of Medical Services
Helen is a specialist medical administrator with a background of 17 years in general practice. Previously she has worked in Queensland, Tasmania and Northern Territory in the public hospital sector, private general practice, correctional health, youth detention, universities, community health centres and a quarantine facility.
Gail Miller - Acting Director of Nursing and Midwifery
Gail has over 30 years of nursing experience, many of them in senior nursing management positions across both the public and private healthcare sectors. Having completed a Bachelor of Nursing at Edith Cowan University, Gail has also completed post graduate studies covering the areas of Adult Rehabilitation and Health Management. Gail has a passion for patient safety, innovation and delivering the best care possible for patients.
Katherine Wray – Director of Finance
With over 20 years’ experience in accounting and finance, 17 of those in healthcare, Katherine has held various leadership roles both in Australia and overseas. A Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Katherine also holds a Bachelor of International Business and a Masters of Accounting. Previously Katherine worked for Providence Health & Services (USA) and TP Systems (Canada) as well as several roles across the hospitality and mining sectors in Perth.
Michele Allum - Director of Mission Integration
Michele focuses on shaping the organisational culture to ensure the innate dignity of each person is valued and upheld. She works to ensure the Values of St John of God Health Care are brought to life by the way in which all caregivers treat one another, our patients and their loved ones. She also engages widely with an extensive range of individuals and groups to ensure community needs are understood. Michele's career spans more than 25 years’ experience across private sector, public sector, health care and not-for-profit services.
Melanie Mola - Director of Workforce and Culture
Melanie has extensive experience in HR leadership roles in a variety of settings including tertiary, aged care, community services, construction, and oil and gas. She has led initiatives relating to transformational change projects, enterprise bargaining negotiations, implementing high-quality HR services and fostering partnerships with leaders. Melanie is an accredited mediator, has a Masters in Leadership and a Graduate Diploma in Labour Relations and Employment Law. She is passionate in fostering a purpose driven, values-based culture to enable caregivers to thrive at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals.
Erin Wilson - Chief Allied Health Officer and Director of Corporate and Outpatient Services
Erin has 20 years’ experience in senior leadership positions in clinical, management, policy, board and project roles across public hospital and private health settings. Previously, Erin has held numerous director, associate program director and clinical operations roles for various health networks including St John of God Health Care Western Australia, Mercy Health and Eastern Health in Victoria, where she was responsible for a large suite of multidisciplinary and multi-site services spanning acute, sub-acute, ambulatory care and primary health services. Formerly a physiotherapist, Erin has also completed a degree in Medical Science at La Trobe University and Master of Public Health - Health Services Management from the University of Melbourne, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Management.
