Our story

Raphael Services provides a safe place for parents to share the load of their life’s difficulties and begin the process of healing.

Our service is named after St Raphael, the angel and patron of those who work to improve the lives of others and ease their burdens.

St John of God Health Care’s own patron saint John of God was helped by Raphael as he carried a sick man.

Just as John of God lay weakened with the burden of carrying the man and feeling like he could not go on, Raphael appeared and together they shared the load to ensure the man was carried to a safe place.
