Dr Muhammad Usman Riaz is available for consultation, day programs and inpatient admission referrals.
Dr Usman is a Fellow of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist with a sub speciality in addiction psychiatry through RANZCP. He holds a Master of Public Health with a major in Occupational Health and Safety from Monash University and a Master of Psychiatry from the University of Melbourne.
Will take referrals for general adult psychiatry including:
- Anxiety disorders
- Mood disorders
- Post traumatic stress disorder
- Borderline personality disorder
- Psychotic disorders
- Substance and alcohol use disorder
Special interest:
- Addiction psychiatry assessments. He can facilitate inpatient detox from illicit substances, and alcohol.
- Chronic pain and mental health disorders that lie at the interface between general medicine and psychiatry with an overlay of addiction to prescribed medications.
Dr Usman works as director of medical services at St John of God Langmore Centre. He sees current inpatients at St John of God Berwick Hospital and also works at Monash Health.
