Where we are

Professor Richard Page is an orthopaedic shoulder and upper limb surgeon living and working in Geelong since 2003. He trained in Sydney, Victoria, the UK, Europe and the USA.

Appointed as the foundation St John of God and Barwon Health Chair of Orthopaedics at Deakin University in 2014 and Director of Orthopaedics at Barwon Health and the Barwon Centre of Orthopaedic Research and Education (B-CORE), he has been co-awarded over AUS$2.8M research and educational grants and teaches medical students, registrars, surgical fellows and regularly presents invited lectures nationally and internationally.

With over 100 publications he is a reviewer for multiple journals and Associate Editor for the International Journal of Shoulder Surgery and the Journal of Wrist Surgery. His research interests include outcomes of shoulder and wrist surgery, upper limb osteoarthritis and joint replacement surgery and a range of trauma topics.

He is on the steering committee for the Victorian Orthopaedic Trauma Outcomes Registry (VOTOR), the Expert Reference Group for HPV, the Advisory Committee of Medical Devices for the TGA and the SESA Representative to the AOA National Joint Replacement Registry as well as Co-Chair of the International Shoulder Arthroplasty Consortium. He is the recipient of grants and awards from the Australian Orthopaedic Association Research Foundation, the Victorian Orthopaedic Research Trust and St John of God Hospital Research.
