She was selected through a rigorous and highly competitive recruitment process and will commence on 11 July.

Making the announcement, St John of God Health Care Group CEO Dr Shane Kelly said that Ms Chinery was selected for the role because of her strong health care executive experience with a focus on people, outstanding person-centred care, and her excellent credentials in managing capital projects.
“St John of God Subiaco Hospital is about to commence the largest redevelopment in our organisation’s history,” said Dr Kelly.
“We are extremely fortunate to have found someone of Ms Chinery’s calibre, who couples extensive experience and expertise in large hospital developments and commissioning, with a strong commitment to the high quality person-centred tradition of clinical care that the community expects of St John of God Subiaco Hospital.”
Ms Chinery’s prior roles include Regional Director for WA Country Health (WACHS), Chief Operating Officer for WACHS (South), Executive Director of Commissioning for Perth Children’s Hospital (WA Health), after starting her career as a nurse.
St John of God Subiaco Hospital was established more than 125 years ago, making it an integral and iconic part of the Western Australia community.
