Sarah told us about her "Runners Drive" where she collected old pairs of runners (in good condition) that people no longer required. She would then donate them to communities who needed them.

Sarah expressed an interest in working with St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital to find a community group who would benefit from receiving. So a few months ago, we nominated Whitelion as the recipient of the runners.

Our hospital, in conjunction with the Peninsula Community Ownership Foundation (PenCOF), fund the employment of a full time “Whitelion” Outreach Youth Worker to work with marginalised youth on a daily basis. Youth homelessness is a critical social issue in Frankston.

Sarah delivered the runners to our hospital which we passed on to Whitelion to distribute. Sarah's "Runners Drive" can be found on Facebook - if you are interested in donating your old, but in good condition runners, then please visit her Facebook page - Runners Drive, to find out where you can donate them.
