Subiaco revamps the patient experience

As part of the renovation process, a variety of works are being undertaken across six wards and include the conversion of shared bedrooms to single rooms, refurbishment of all ensuites, installation of new floor finishes and repainting all walls.

St John of God Subiaco Hospital Chief Executive Officer Professor Shirley Bowen said she was delighted to offer patients a new, contemporary environment for their care and recovery.

“This investment reflects our commitment to providing patients and their visitors a modern and comfortable hospital experience,” she said.

“The refurbished wards will also provide our caregivers, doctors and volunteers a refreshed work environment, contributing to enhanced morale and teamwork.”

In addition to enhancing the patient experience, the refurbishment acknowledges the hospital’s rich history through the incorporation of a pomegranate print throughout the wards’ rooms and administrative areas.
