Charlene Grosse, Manager of Allied Health St John of God Subiaco Hospital
Charlene Grosse is the Manager of Allied Health at St John of God Subiaco Hospital and an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian that specialises in gastrointestinal diseases, gut health and bariatric surgery. She has a Masters in Health Care Management and is currently undertaking her PhD looking at using diet as an adjunct therapy in mild to moderate ulcerative colitis through Edith Cowen University and Professor Ian Lawrance. Charlene has been a spokesperson for the Dietitians Association of Australia for the last six years and enjoys the opportunity of translating science into practical messages for the community.
Sascha McMeekin, Clinical Dietician St John of God Subiaco Hospital
Sascha McMeekin is an Accredited Practising Dietician (APD) who completed her Bachelor of Health Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at the Queensland University of Technology in 2011 and completing an Honors research study in her final year. She has worked as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian across a range of settings including research, private practice and hospitals in Australia and the United Kingdom. For the past two years Sascha has been a Clinical Dietitian at SJG Subiaco. While in this role Sascha has become a “Dementia Champion” through Alzheimer’s WA, is a member of the Cognitive Impairment Committee and is involved in the training of volunteers and personal care assistants to cater to the needs of patients with dementia.
