Hawkesbury Jazz Club band brings music to Richmond

Invited guests, patients and members of the community enjoyed high tea in the picturesque gardens of Belmont House to the melodic jazz tunes.
St John of God Richmond Chief Executive Officer Steve Brooker welcomed guests to the hospital and outlined the range of mental health treatment services provided, particularly in the areas of post-traumatic stress disorder, addictions, mood disorders and older adult mental health.
Mayor of the Hawkesbury Mary Lyons-Buckett encouraged listeners to speak about mental health in our community and raise awareness to decrease stigma. Susan Templeman MP, Member for Macquarie also addressed the crowd acknowledging the importance of services like St John of God Richmond to help meet the needs of the community in mental health treatment.
An enamoured guest commented “…thank you so much St John of God, the music was divine and the food amazing – looking forward to the next one!”.
