First baby born at the new St John of God Berwick Hospital
It was a birth that had eagerly been awaited by everyone at the hospital – the very first baby to be delivered at the new St John of God Berwick Hospital.

Arriving at approximately 10.00pm on Thursday 18 January 2018, the hospital’s opening day, baby Andy was delivered by Dr Peter Yong in one of the brand new, spacious birth suites.
Named after the Toy Story character, Andy joins his parents Chloe and Chris and proud older brother Toby. Toby, 2, was born at the hospital’s original facility in Gibb Street Berwick.
Andy’s milestone birth will remain a precious part of the hospital’s history.
Since Andy’s birth on Thursday night we have welcomed another nine babies into the world at the new hospital.
