St John of God Bendigo Hospital is very fortunate to have established a tradition with our local Bishop (Leslie Tomlinson) who presides over our Christmas Eve Eucharist.

At the centre of our hospital the Atrium is the gathering place which brings caregivers, patients and the wider Bendigo community together in this celebration of hope and fellowship.
Our caregiver choir support the celebration and the mass is followed by shared supper for all who attend.
At a time when patients and staff are disconnected from their usual family celebrations, it is a significant contribution to the well-being and spiritual health of all involved.
Many families from the wider Bendigo community join us for the occasion simply because it is such a sacred and special event. The healing mission of Jesus is alive and well.
