Living with Cancer Education Program

This free program is a Cancer Council Victoria initiative developed to support people who have ongoing cancer treatments or have suffered a recurrence. The program can help make sense of cancer for you, your family and friends.

Living with Cancer Education Program

 
 

The program is facilitated by health professionals who have been trained and supported by Cancer Council Victoria. It is a facilitated group education program that provides information and the opportunity for discussions and group interaction for those currently receiving treatment.

Presentations

Hear presentations from health professionals about:

  • Getting the most out of your healthcare team
  • Dealing with ongoing treatments and lifelong side effects with Oncologist Dr Craig Carden
  • Learning how to manage cancer recurrence 
  • Communication, stress and coping mechanisms with Clinical Psychologist Sarah McKinnon

You’ll also have the opportunity to share stories and tips with others going through a similar
experience. Refreshments will be provided.
