St Patrick's College students bring a little joy this Easter

A thank you to the wonderful students at St Patrick’s College Ballarat who are brightening up the hospital by delivering Easter eggs, and a little joy along the way, to our patients.

It’s a time of year to be close to family and friends and celebrate what we hold close to us, but unfortunately for some over the Easter holiday they can't be with family and friends due to illness or travel.

St John of God Ballarat Hospital Director of Mission Integration Maureen Waddington said the visit from the Ballarat school students showed the true spirit of Easter – a season of renewal and a willingness to see the world with new eyes.

"The gesture demonstrates their community spirit and willingness to give up some of their time to bring some joy and sense of Easter to people who are currently challenged by illness and may be away from family and friends for the Easter season," she said.

“It is a way of saying we recognise this time is difficult for our patients and we are prepared to share that journey in a small but valuable way.”
